Early Details On Edgar Wright’s Next Film
Filmmaker Edgar Wright looks to have finally decided upon his first post-“Baby Driver” feature, telling Empire today that his next film is a psychological horror-thriller.
Wright says classics like “Repulsion” and “Don’t Look Now” are the templates for this London-set film which boasts a female lead and will play things quite straight:
“I realised I had never made a film about central London – specifically Soho, somewhere I’ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years. With “Hot Fuzz” and “Shaun Of The Dead” you make movies about places you’ve lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in.”
The untitled film will shoot this summer from a screenplay co-written with Krysty Wilson-Cairns. Wright is also doing a doco on the band Sparks and has penned the first draft of a script for another “Baby Driver”.
