IBM veteran tasked with leading Logicalis in Malaysia

IT solutions and managed service provider Logicalis has appointed 30 year veteran Bernard Chiang as its new managing director for operations in Malaysia.
Chiang started his career in IBM where he spent more than 17 years before moving on to work for vendors such as Microsoft, HP, Nortel and most recently as managing director of SAP Malaysia.
Specifically, Chiang will be responsible for driving innovation, revenue and profitability growth for Logicalis Malaysia while collaborating with partners to develop new solutions.
“I am excited to join Logicalis in this dynamic role and will continue to build on the strong foundation, momentum for growth,” said Chiang. “It is an exciting time for Logicalis and the IT services sector in Malaysia.

Looking back, Logicalis Asia’s senior leadership has undergone a changing of the guard in 2018, with Dewi Sanly appointed managing director of Singapore while Cisco veteran Lim Tsu Pheng took up the role for the newly created position of chief technology officer for Logicalis Asia.
“I am very pleased that Bernard, with his proven track record, is joining us to lead Logicalis Malaysia,” said Chong-Win Lee, who was appointed CEO of Logicalis Asia in December 2017.
