KASKUS aims to provide support to content creators, small online business owners on its platform through this investment
Indonesian online content and e-commerce platform KASKUS today announced that it has made a strategic investment into KontrakHUkum, a digital platform that provides legal services to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
In a press statement, KASKUS explained that the investment is in line with the company’s business development plan of providing support to content creators and small online business owners on its platform.
“The partnership is a form of our support for KASKUS members so that they can get informed about the law from credible and reliable sources. Our hope is that, as content creators and business owners, members will no longer hesitate about safeguarding their works and their business on the legal side,” said KASKUS CEO Edi Taslim.

Founded by Rieke Caroline, KontrakHukum aims to educate SME owners on the importance of understanding the legal aspect of their business, in order to safeguard their business operations.
The platform provides a variety of on-demand legal services such as legal drafting, company registration, intellectual property rights registration, and notary services.
KontrakHukum’s client list includes banks such as BCA; venture capital firms such as Mandiri Capital and Ideosource; fintech startups such as Investree, Sribulancer, and Pinjam; state-owned telco operator Telkom Indonesia; and government institutions such as Bank Indonesia and BEKRAF.
Founded in 1999, KASKUS started off as an online discussion forum before branching into e-commerce and audio-visual content creation platform.
