Total War: Warhammer 2 Getting Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC | Gaming News
There’s no doubt that Total War is one of Sega’s major franchises, and the series’ high fantasy turn-based strategy and real-time tactics title Total War: Warhammer 2 is set earn its keep within the brand’s umbrella by ensuring that fans are flush with post-launch materials. As it so happens, Sega has now unveiled the cinematic trailer for the game’s forthcoming Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC.
As seen below in Total War: Warhammer 2‘s latest trailer, fans of the game should expect Curse of the Vampire Coast to feature four undead pirate Legendary Lords, units such as gun-wielding deckhands, large enemy crabs, and a themed campaign to play through as well. Luthor Harkon is only the first of the Legendary Lords to be revealed, so it’s safe to presume that the rest will be unveiled at a later date.
Total War: Warhammer 2‘s Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC will officially go live starting next month on November 8, but fans of the title can go ahead and pre-order their copy of the expansion right now through Steam for a 10% discount. And for those who typically avoid add-ons, the developer Creative Assembly has assured fans that everyone will see changes once the new update arrives, as enemy pirate captains and forces from Curse of the Vampire Coast will appear in-game as AI controlled enemies for everyone.
Additionally, Creative Assembly has also promised Total War: Warhammer 2 fans that it will be bringing a major update to the Vampire Counts factions in Mortal Empires, by giving them new mechanics, and revised skills and abilities. What’s more is that a new Legendary Lord will also be completely free to all players–even those that don’t buy the Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC.
All things considered, Total War: Warhammer 2‘s Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC definitely appears as if it will be chock full of content, which will likely be welcomed with open arms by players. With this being the case, it will be interesting to see if the expansion not only pleases long-time fans, but also helps to boost the title’s player base.
Total War: Warhammer 2 is available now for PC, and its Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC is set to launch on November 8, 2018.
