Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Adds New Pet Looks, But There’s A Catch | Gaming News

Harry Potter:  was recently updated to add magical pets that players can adopt, but it also added some new pet looks for the pets were already in the game. As of the latest update, the cat, the owl, and the rat all have new looks, but getting them will be easier said and done.

That’s because the new pet looks in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery require a type of currency that is not readily available in the game. For players to get their hands on these new pet looks, they will need to shell out 10 notebooks each, instead of using coins or gems like they would normally do.

Recent updates to Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery added the new notebook currency to the game, and gave players the chance to collect some by participating in the House Pride event. Players that were able to earn the most house points could get their hands on some notebooks that they could then use to purchase new pet looks, though the number of notebooks available were fairly low. Now that the House Pride event is over, there is currently no way to get notebooks in the game.

This means that, at the time of this writing, it is basically impossible for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players to unlock any of these new pet looks. However, we know that Jam City will eventually add new ways for players to get their hands on notebooks. Recently added text in the game suggests that notebooks will be available as part of future events, plus players will eventually be able to purchase them outright if they so choose.

Unfortunately, it’s unclear at this time when Jam City will actually add these options to the game. For now, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players are simply unable to earn the notebooks necessary to purchase these new pet looks, so fans will just have to stay tuned.
