Destiny 2: Forsaken: How to Get Not Forgotten Hand Cannon | Gaming News
The Luna’s Howl is a unique hand cannon that Destiny 2 players can earn as this season’s pinnacle reward, much like last season’s Redrix’s Claymore. However, Luna’s Howl isn’t completely one-of-a-kind, as another more powerful version of the hand cannon exists called Not Forgotten. Not Forgotten can be earned in Destiny 2 after players get their hands on Luna’s Howl. Here’s how to get it and what makes it unique.
500 Luna’s Howl Kills in Competitive
As mentioned, the prerequisite to getting Not Forgotten is earning Luna’s Howl. Once players get Luna’s Howl, another quest will kick off for them to complete. The first step is to get 500 kills in the Competitive playlist using Luna’s Howl. Completely self-explanatory, but quite the grind. There are no shortcuts for this one; players need to put their hand cannon skills to the test in the Competitive playlist and grind out the required kills. That will unlock the second step, which is another doozy.
Reach Legend Rank in Glory
While players had to reach 2100 Glory points and the Fabled rank to get their hands on Luna’s Howl, to get Not Forgotten, players need to more than double their Glory to 5500 points and reach Legend. Once again, this will be a long grind requiring many wins. But once Legend is reached, players will complete the quest and earn Not Forgotten.
Is Not Forgotten Worth It?
Each player will have to answer that for themselves, but Not Forgotten shares the same signature perks as Luna’s Howl: Zen Moment and Magnificent Howl. Where the two weapons differ are in their other perks with Not Forgotten getting a huge boost to the Range stat both in its first two perks (Extended Barrel and Accurized Rounds) and its automatic Range Masterwork. These push the Range of Not Forgotten to almost double the Luna’s Howl.
In Destiny 2, not only does Range mean less damage dropoff at extended distances, but it also means more accurate and consistent shots. So Not Forgotten is basically the same weapon as Luna’s Howl but one that will be more reliable and useful at a longer range.
This is definitely a top-tier weapon even above the Luna’s Howl, which will likely be chased by the most hardcore of PvP players.
Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
