Fortnite Team Breaks the Squad Kill Record | Gaming News
As of late, all of the squads from each of the five Fall Skirmish clubs competing in the Fortnite event have been doing battle with one another in the Week 1 trial to earn as much as possible from the competition’s $10 million prize pool. During Fall Skirmish’s Week 1, teams have been going at it to collect the highest amount of eliminations across all four players of a given squad in a single match. Now, the Rift Raiders team of FaZe Clan players Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Dennis “Cloak” Lepore, Luminosity Gaming player Kreo and competitive player ZexRow have broken the game’s squad kill record during the event.
During the course of a single match, Tfue, Cloak, ZexRow, and Kreo were able to collect 57 eliminations in total to land their place in Fortnite‘s records as the team with the highest accumulated squad kills. For those keeping count, Tfue pulled off 24 eliminations, Cloak hit 17 eliminations, ZexRow secured 13 eliminations, and Kreo rounded out the group’s total squad kills with 3 eliminations.
Interestingly enough, this 57 elimination performance by the Rift Raiders team barely surpassed the previous Fortnite squad kill record of 56, which had actually been set earlier in the day by the Lucky Llamas team of Nick Eh 30, FaZe Clan members Spacelyon and Replays, and competitive player Turkey Lips.TV, all of whom had originally gotten their names in the Fortnite‘s world records book for the title before the Rift Raiders.
All things considered, with Week 1 of Fortnite‘s Fall Skirmish having already seen an exciting competition play out into a squad kills record for the game, it will be interesting to see if the series keeps up its momentum going into the second week. If anything, though, one can only hope that the event doesn’t suffer the same fate as this year’s Summer Skirmish, which was plagued with major lag problems.
Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. An Android beta is currently underway.
