When will doctor’s become obsolete? | Artificial intelligence

A recent study led by another online health service provider, Babylon Health, found that when answering diagnostic questions typically found on a doctor’s exam in the UK, its AI technology diagnosed patients better than the taking the test, with 81% accuracy compared with an average of 72% over the past five years among real-life doctors.

Not only are they more accurate, but they’ll cost a lot less, and with VR/AR technology making remote experiences increasingly interactive, I’d predict that the general practitioner’s profession is on its way out.

Fortunately, I don’t see a great future for human doctor’s inaccuracies and pharmaceutical industry bribery.

How long do you think this will take?
