Buy Tons of Movies at a Huge Discount From iTunes This Weekend  – Info Tips and Tricks

If you’re looking to escape the heat this weekend with a good movie binge-watching session, Apple is currently running a pretty amazing deal on close to 900 titles that might help you make that dream a reality, BestAppleTV reports.

The discount applies specifically to movies its calling “essentials” and started on Tuesday. Movies start at $4.99, and some are discounted more than 65% from their original price tag. The price drops are listed as “limited time’ so you’ll want to snag the titles you want sooner rather than later.

I only own a few movies that I’ve purchased from iTunes. In my opinion, in the age of Netflix, the only movies you should buy a digital copy of are the ones you think you’re going to watch again and again. I own digital versions of my favorite movies, and I pull them down from the cloud when I need to rewatch them.

If you’re going to watch it once, then renting a digital stream is still a better deal than buying in most cases. That said, a lot of these titles are discounted to $4.99, which is the typical cost of an HD rental. If you like it, buy it.
