What is the default filesystem for 2018 MacBook Pro – Info Mac

I had some problems with my new MacBook Pro the day I got it, and they had me reformat the hard drive and then reinstall Mac OS. I chose APFS as the filesystem, but there were options for APFS (Encrypted) and some other APFS options. I know the T2 chip in my Mac does on the fly encryption, and thats not a feature I want to miss out on. Does anyone know what the default filesystem for the hard drive is? It defaulted to APFS, but by choosing that am I now missing out on that feature?
