InDesign unwanted space in stroke – Info Graphic Design

That happens at the start and end point of your shape. It sucks and there is no natural setting in that can fix it. Its just one of those things. A work around is if you draw the missing dash line manually. Or disconnect a small segment on a side, and then overlap its start and end point. Its a fix but your new figure won’t be “enclosed” any more as the start and end points aren’t connected, they are just overlapping to bring the dashed lines closer together.
