They say the Aperol spritz is particularly in fashion this summer, but I’ve never known it to be unpopular. If you’ve never had Aperol, it’s kind of like Campari Lite. It’s sweeter, less bitter, and just a little friendlier all around. When combined with Prosecco and a splash of soda, it’s almost like a grownup orange soda. To make your own, you will need:
- 1 1/2-2 ounces Aperol (It is officially suggested you use equal parts Aperol and Prosecco, but you may favor a more vino-heavy ratio)
- 2 ounces Prosecco
- A splash of soda
Fill a glass with ice, and add Aperol and Prosecco. Give it a slight stir, add a splash of soda, and garnish with an orange slice if you wish to increase your ingredient count.
